"Learn to Swim in Less Time"
In 1981 Brad Finan started the Finan Swim School and began a family business that is still run by the Finan family today. The business started with one aim in mind “to provide London parents with a premium swimming program for their children”. While it is easy to say that we have done that and more in 25 years, we invite you to read on and see how we may be able to show your child how to “learn to swim in less time”. Today the program is run by Martha Finan and her wonderful staff of friendly swimming instructors, two of which are next generation Finan swimmers.

Is the Finan Swim School right for your child?
Many of our clients come to our program because they were referred by a friend. We certainly do appreciate that and think of these referrals as the ultimate in client satisfaction. Some however come to us after having been frustrated at other programs. Whether you are new to swim lessons or a seasoned pro, you'll appreciate our direct approach to teaching.

Our Philosophy
The reality for parents today is choosing the skills we teach our children is more difficult than ever before, summer sports vs. winter sports, hockey vs. soccer, karate vs. music lessons, Moms influence and Dads influence, the list goes on and on, and the answer is never wrong. What all parents seem to agree on is that being able to swim, at least enough to enjoy a day at the beach, is an absolute necessity. That is why our program is designed to make the most of your time at the pool.

5:1 student teacher ratio:
Our class size is kept to five swimmers per teacher. This means you get more instruction in every class.

Warm Water:
The water temperature at all of our locations is a very comfortable 85°F. This means not only are the teachers able to spend three hours in the water teaching, but a tiny three year old is able to stay in the water for their 1/2 class without shivering

Flexible Schedules:
Many of our families are not just juggling several activities for their children each week, but several activities for two, three or four children. This means you need flexibility. We understand this and that is why we offer multiple classes at our locations. We also take our registration over the phone which allows you to go over all of the time options available before you commit to a swim session.

Make-up classes:
Flexibility is important for busy families. We offer make-up classes, for a nominal fee, for those children who are not able to make all of their regular classes.

Friendly Instructors:
While every parent wants their child to be successful our over riding concern is that they enjoy the experience in a safe environment. Our swimming instructors are the best at making sure your child has a great time when they are learning to swim.

The classes are held for 1/2 hour once a week. The programs focus on a structured environment where the children are encouraged to practice their swimming skills in a patient and supportive environment.
